Exclusive Clothiers

Every once in a while you run into someone who is refreshing and innovative; if your lucky like me you run into two! I met Todd and Sam at a fashion show this season while being "volunteered" by a friend to be a last minute model-before I go any further no there are no pictures of me doing this and hopefully none will ever occur lol-. What was I to model you ask? Some of their awesome Neckties of course! These guys own a local premium and luxury mens accessory shop where they sell things like ascots, handkerchiefs, cuff links and tie sets. The material and quality of these items were AMAZING! They felt awesome and they had so many cool colors to choose from! Being the "question asking, always wanting to know every little detail, how many of this, who, what, when, and where" person that I am I found out that they actually started the company in June 2009 and their reason for starting the company was simple "Bring style to NWA-North West Arkansas". Yes, i'll admit it, if you've ever had the gracious opportunity to step foot onto the wide green pasters and roaring country hills of Arkansas you'll see that our mens fashion...for a lack of words...well is LACKING :(. But thats ok because now we have the awesome Todd and Sam team of Exclusive Clothiers to tidy this place up : D. So i'll stop yappin and get to postn' them links so you guys can check'em out!

Check out their website here: http://www.exclusiveclothiers.com/shop/index.php/

Urban Antique photoshoot-backstage-

Hey guys long time no see-or write I guess...*shrugs shoulders*. Sorry I haven't posted in a while you can blame that sadist named college lol. Anyway, today I worked a photoshoot called "Urban Antique". I met SO MANY awesome people and young artists, and guess what, I actually was able to take pics at this event *score!* with my cell phone of course :( but hey i'm still saving for that camera so don't give up on me just yet haha! Our location was in an old abandoned hotel in the middle of no where really, the walls of the hotel have been painted by locals with graffiti so the combination of the two went great with the theme. I'm not going to talk much I have homework to do-yes even over spring break school still manages to haunt me somehow lol-so take a look at some of these "backstage" pics taken by yours truly and let me know what you think!

Kathy Ann Johnson-personal shopper

A while back I posted about a jeweler that I interviewed at a local fashion show. I have another update for you guys! While at the show I ran into another interesting character a lady by the name of Kathy Ann Johnson. Kathy is an ex logistics manager turned personal shopper from Barbados who is a lover of all things in her words "vintage and cheap". She absolutely loves a good bargain and the only thing that she loves more than that is sharing her bargains. Being from Barbados Kathy has been exposed to price gougers and swindlers galore. She believes that every MAN, WOMAN and CHILD should be able to outfit themselves in the garments that they wish but with back door deals and greedy merchants pedaling overpriced merchandise, the people of Barbados find it hard to obtain such garments. This is were Kathy comes in, like a Super Woman of a sort. She comes to America, fills orders, takes them back to her country and sells the items for the price that they are actually makred for. When talking to Kathy you could sense the good in her heart, when she spoke about finding her passion and dropping her previous job as a logistics manager you could hear the happines and excitement just bubbyling in her. Unfortunately this great woman doesn't have a website right now but when she gets one she is going to update me and believe me i'll share!

But for now take a quick look at some of her womens pieces that she brought for styling to the fashion show, she even had some of her items up for sale :D. I had my eye on a black fadora but a guy beat me to it :( lol

Romance Diamond Company-at the Fashion show-

So guys the Fashion show turned out great! While I was their after I finished my walk on the dreaded-RUNWAY- lol we shall get into that later. I ran into a lot of inspirational people. One that really stood out to me was Romance Diamond Company located in Fayetteville Arkansas. They had GREAT pieces!! Beautiful stones, exquisite necklaces, and amazing rings! My camera does NOT do the pieces justice at all! Sorry i'm saving up to get an upgrade ;D but hey everyone's gotta start some where right?  I met with two company rep's -Mary and Laura hi guys :D- and they told me a little bit about the company. The story that I gathered in a nutshell basically is that the company started in 1944 Middletown Ohio, with a young Charles Brosh. He had a love for designing jewelry and time pieces so he put his talents to work and let his guts take hold. In 1944 he met his friend and long time business partner Phillip Long and they set up shop in Newport, Arkansas. The company continued to grow and eventually moved to Fayetteville -it's current location- where his son Patrick Brosh still upholds things like tradition of excellence, craftsmanship, and customer service-kudos to Mary and Laura!-

Here's a quick pic of some of their inventory, they even had pieces by REBECCA :O!!

Guys be sure to check out their website!
